Monticello man pleads not guilty in Albany murder case

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Albany County District Attorney’s Office announced that Jonte Wunner, 26, of Monticello, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to several charges in a murder case. Wunner was taken into custody at the end of October.

The indictment against Wunner alleges that he caused the death of Mohammed Poquee near North Pearl Street in Albany on October 20. He’s additionally accused of having a loaded, illegal handgun with him at the time of the incident, as well as on October 28.

Wunner was charged with second-degree murder, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was remanded to the Albany County Jail following his arraignment.
