One dead, another injured in 2-vehicle Algoma crash, cause under investigation

ALGOMA, Wis. (WFRV) – One of the drivers involved in a two-vehicle crash on WIS 21 in Algoma on Wednesday morning was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and first responders with the Algoma and Oshkosh Fire Departments responded to WIS 21 and Leonard Point Road in Algoma around 5:55 a.m. on November 6.

Deputies say that one of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the second vehicle was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No other details were provided.
