Altercation on the road leads to shotgun being pulled

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — We have all had those moments when our favorite song comes on the radio, we turn it up and sing along.

However, doing just that nearly cost a man and his niece their lives.

Oklahoma City police say a man and his niece were jamming out at a stoplight when another man pulled up right beside them.

Moments later, both were staring down the barrel of the other driver’s shotgun.

“Caller ID indicated that they were sitting stationary in a vehicle when an unknown person in a separate vehicle pulled up next to the victim,” said Oklahoma City Police Sergeant, Dillon Quirk.

Halloween night took a scary turn for two people near Southwest 44th St. and Penn. Ave.

According to the affidavit, Brandon O’Malley and his niece were listening to music while stopped at a red light, when another driver pulled up next to them.

“There were some words exchanged,” Quirk said.
