A Florida Manufacturing Plant Is Shutting Down – With The Potential For 145 Jobs Lost

About Dart Industries, Inc.: This company manufactures consumer products. One example is Tupperware. Another is Wilsonart. The company is based in Orlando, Florida and employs around 10,000.

Employees on Glassdoor give the company 3.2 out of 5 stars. And 56% would recommend it to a friend. Some reviewers complimented coworkers, pay, and time off while others criticize management.

About The Closure And Potential For Layoffs: According to a warn letter dated November 1, 2024, the company is closing its facility located at 14901 South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. As such, 145 positions at that facility will be terminated and these terminations are expected to take place on December 31, 2024, although the letter said that a limited number of employees may be needed for longer.
