Prior to the crash, deputies located a stolen vehicle and attempted to pull the driver over but the driver failed to yield, per law enforcement. The failure to yield started a pursuit which ended in the driver losing control of their vehicle and causing it to rollover.

The driver was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for injuries.

Authorities initially shut down both sides of Highway 94 in the area, but it is now operating as one-way traffic control, according to Caltrans San Diego.
