Northern California ranch offers ‘wild, untouched glory’ and San Francisco views for $10M

For $10 million, a buyer could enjoy the “wild, untouched glory” of 437 acres in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Marin County listing just hit the market with a location that is hard to beat in Northern California.

Called Mount Zion Ranch, the property sits next to filmmaker George Lucas’ Loma Alta Preserve and directly above the splendid Spirit Rock Mediation Center. Hiking trails, rolling green hills, seasonal creeks and abundant wildlife are all part of the offering, according to California Outdoor Properties, which holds the listing.

The property, located in Nicasio, ensures “a lifetime of gorgeous, wild terrain” thanks to open space easements, according to the official property listing. The land could be enhanced to build a residential compound, gifted back to the county or state as an environmental preserve or used as a getaway for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.

Growing on the diverse land are two ancient redwood groves, Douglas fir, oak and madrone trees. Wildlife abounds with mountain lions, bobcats, turkeys, red-tailed hawks, turkey vultures, sparrows and woodpeckers.
