McKinney voters decide against increasing city council term limits, pay

DALLAS – Voters in McKinney decided against allowing city council members more time in office and raising pay for city council members and the mayor. About 51% of voters voted against Proposition A, which would have allowed the mayor and city council in the fast-growing Collin County city to serve three consecutive four-year terms as opposed to two consecutive four-year terms beginning in 2025, according to unofficial election results.
