SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Onondaga County Health Department released its inspection reports for restaurants checked from Oct. 20 through Oct. 26.

Which food services passed or failed their health inspection: Oct. 13 – 19

One food service received a failure in their inspection:

  • Comfort Suites Cicero – 5875 Carmenica Drive, Cicero

This restaurant had six violations, with two in critical condition.

Foods not protected from contamination by other sources (critical) : The inspector found insecticide containers on the kitchen floor. This was corrected by the hotel staff and they threw away the insecticide.

Improper cooling and refrigerated storage of potentially hazardous foods (critical): The inspector found three pans of scrambled eggs and two pans of cooked sausage at temperatures of 62to 92 degrees Fahrenheit in the refrigerator in the kitchen, cooling in tightly wrapped metal pans of two-and-a-half inches deep and four inches deep. Breakfast hours are from 6 to 9 a.m. The hotel staff stated that scrambled eggs and sausage were cooked that morning and that the pans were placed in the refrigerator by kitchen staff at an unknown time.
