(COLORADO SPRINGS) — With more snow expected overnight Thursday, Nov. 7 into Friday, snow crews and city officials are urging people to stay home and avoid roads if possible.
Winter conditions and heavy snow will spread across Southern Colorado, mostly the southeastern region and the eastern plains. The National Weather Service is predicting snow to ramp up Friday morning and come in intervals starting Friday evening through Saturday morning.

FOX21’s Storm Team’s snowcast is expecting anything between three to six inches from Thursday morning to Friday morning. Snowy conditions will stick around until Saturday evening.
Crews will be working throughout the day and overnight to remove snow, however, Cory Farkas with Public Works Operations and Maintenance Division asked people via X (formerly known as Twitter) to stay home.
“We are expecting snow for the next 36 hours, so we are asking if you can please stay home,” Farkas said. “Spend some time with your family. Our plows are out there doing a great job getting our roadways clear but the less people that are on the road, the more efficient they can be. If you can stay home, stay warm, stay dry, and stay safe we’d really appreciate it.”
