Pair arrested for bringing $15K worth of drugs from Twin Cities to Moorhead

Two men have been arrested for their role in transporting drugs from the Twin Cities to Moorhead, officials say.

According to the Moorhead Police Department, investigators stopped two men in a vehicle approaching the Moorhead area on Sunday, as part of anĀ investigation into an organization bringing drugs from the metro area to the Clay County area since June.

During the stop, a total of 458 grams of methamphetamine, 48 grams of cocaine, 101 grams of marijuana and 12 morphine pills were seized. The drugs had a total street value of around $15,000, according to MPD.

The suspects, identified as a 35-year-old Moorhead man and a 34-year-old St. Louis Park man, were taken to the Clay County Correctional Facility.

One of the suspects has a past federal conviction for drug distribution in Minnesota with the “Taliban/Young N’ Thuggin” gang.
