Man in critical condition, dog dies after multi-vehicle accident at car wash

A man is in critical condition and a dog is dead after a multi-vehicle accident at a car wash in in Pittsburgh.

It happened around 2 p.m. at the Mr. Magic carwash on the 900 block of Washington Boulevard in Homewood West.

Pittsburgh Public Safety says Police, Fire and EMS responded to the scene, involving four vehicles in the parking lot.

One man was found pinned under a vehicle. He was believed to have been vacuuming his car when he was trapped.

He was extricated and taken to the hospital in critical condition with leg and torso injuries. He was alert when he was taken to the hospital.

Also, a dog that was inside one of the vehicles ran away after the accident and was later hit be another vehicle on Washington Boulevard near Shetland.

A Pittsburgh Police officer took the dog to an emergency clinic where the dog died.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
