Good news Asian cuisine-lovers, the self-proclaimed largest Asian supermarket chain and pioneer for Asian food in the United States, H Mart, is opening its first location in Florida. The H Mart website shows that a store is “coming soon” to Orlando.
The specific address is listed as 7501 W. Colonial Dr. #107, Orlando, Florida 32818. Further details, like an opening date and store hours, are unavailable at this time.
However, if the Orlando location is anything like the other dozens of locations nationwide, then shoppers can likely expect “a full line of Asian foods”, “Western groceries”, and “innovative new food halls”. H Mart proudly asserts that its food halls “are an extension of over 30 years of providing eateries in its stores”.
This new location might not come as a surprise, as H Mart opened 14 new locations between 2020 and 2023 alone. The supermarket chain was also ranked as the 74th fastest growing retailer on the National Retail Federation’s Hot 100 Retailers 2020 List.
H Mart was founded in 1982 in Woodside, Queens, and currently has over 97 stores within the United States. The founder and CEO, Il Yeon Kwon, stated that “for over 40 years, Hmart has worked its best to provide quality Korean food and service to communities”.
