TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Lutz man brought home a $1 million win from a 7-Eleven scratch-off ticket.
Jorge Rodriguez Acosta, 46, claimed his prize from the Florida Lottery on Thursday. He chose to take home his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.
Acosta bought the winning ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 3560 West Waters Avenue in Tampa. The store received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
Acosta won the 50x the Cash Scratch-Off Game, which costs $50 to play. It features a top prize of $25 million.
