WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police said a woman died after she was shot in Southeast Thursday afternoon.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the woman was shot in the 700 block of Atlantic Street at around 3:30 p.m.
The woman was taken to a hospital where she died.
MPD said its homicide unit was investigating the shooting.
