Giuliani Can’t Access DiMaggio Jersey for Defamation Case

Additional Coverage:

Rudy Giuliani appeared in federal court for a defamation case against him by election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss. The workers were awarded $148 million for damages after Giuliani falsely accused them of election fraud.

Giuliani’s lawyer claimed he no longer has access to a storage facility in Long Island where some of the assets he was ordered to surrender are located, including a Joe DiMaggio jersey. The lawyer said the facility’s owners must release the items.

However, Freeman and Moss’s lawyer said he has been unable to contact the facility. The website for “The America First Warehouse” in Ronkonkoma, where the items are allegedly stored, promotes a podcast and events featuring right-wing figures.

Giuliani has not yet turned over any of the assets he was ordered to, including the DiMaggio jersey, a Mercedes, and legal fees he claims are owed to him by former President Donald Trump.

Freeman and Moss’s lawyer accused Giuliani of being evasive and moving cash around. The judge warned that Giuliani could face contempt charges if the plaintiffs believe he is lying about not being able to access the storage facility.
