- Pastor husband of Mica Miller whose death captivated the nation arrested after ‘assaulting protestor outside church’ (newsbreak.com)
The pastor of a church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has been arrested for assault and battery. John-Paul Miller, whose wife’s suicide in April sparked national attention, allegedly confronted a protester outside his former church.
The protester, Sandra Caron, claims Miller approached her and started recording her. Caron says she put her hands behind her back, and Miller tapped her hat with his phone.
Miller’s attorney claims the protesters instigated the altercation and have been harassing his client for months.
Miller appeared in court and was released on bond. The incident occurred as protesters have been gathering weekly to demand justice for Miller’s wife.
Despite the coroner’s ruling of suicide, some individuals have accused Miller of being involved in his wife’s death. The FBI has searched his home, but no arrests or charges have been made in connection with his wife’s death.
Miller has denied any involvement in his wife’s death.
