Youngblood began by recounting an incident that allegedly occurred when he was just 18. After a sermon delivered by Bishop Jakes on birthday, Youngblood and a friend dined with the well-known church leader. Reflecting on the night, Youngblood said, “I was able to convince my mother to let me drive her car since I didn’t have a vehicle.”
Following the meal, Youngblood was tasked with driving Jakes to his lodging, the home of a local woman known as Sister Jiles. Youngblood alleges that after hours of conversation, during which he confided in Jakes about personal traumas, the evening took an unexpected turn. As he prepared to leave, Youngblood claims Jakes wrapped his arm around him and attempted to kiss him, leaving him in shock.
