LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — One person is fighting for their life following a two-car crash near the Fayette Mall Thursday night.
At 9:37 p.m., Lexington police and firefighters were called to the scene where two vehicles collided.
Authorities said two people have been taken to an area hospital and one sustained life-threatening injuries.
Traffic around the area was diverted, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
The roadway has reopened.

A wreck closed a portion of Nicholasville Road on Thursday in Lexington.
A FOX 56 News crew at the scene reported that the crash happened on Nicholasville Road and West Reynolds Road near the Fayette Mall.
The road is closed from Lexington Greene Circle to East Reynolds Road toward Nicholasville.
Several first responders are at the scene, but details are limited.
