The Kansas Jayhawks basketball season didn’t take long to jump into full swing. After a 30-point opening win over Howard, Kansas is now facing its first top-10 matchup of the year when North Carolina comes to Allen Fieldhouse.
These two programs have only played 12 times, and most of those have come in the NCAA Tournament, so it’s great to see them agree to a home-and-home series. And as Adam Sullivan calls out on X, it’s a spot KU and Bill Self have been great in.
Self is an astonishing 24-4 in top-10 games in Lawrence and is undefeated against UNC while at KU. Of course, the last time these two played, it was for a national title.

UNC ended up winning by 14, 90-76, but Elon had tied the game at 69 with 7:12 to go in the game as part of a 12-0 run.
