Norfolk Fire-Rescue battles house fire on Oakmont Court, residents displaced

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Fire-Rescue responded to a house fire on the 1300 block of Oakmont Court on Thursday afternoon.

Crews received a report on the residential structure fire at 5:08 p.m. Upon arrival, they found smoke showing and fire in the living room of the home.

Crews were able to contain the fire and fire control was called at 5:35 p.m.

There were no injuries reported.

The residents of the home are displaced, but it is unknown how many at this time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
