Boy shot in Montgomery County; suspects apprehended

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Montgomery County are investigating a shooting that injured a boy Thursday afternoon.

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said the shooting happened just before 5 p.m. in the 7900 block of Spiceberry Circle. There, officers found a juvenile male who had been shot.

The boy was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

MCPD said after the shooting, the suspects left in a car, and officers followed them into the Longdraft and Clopper Roads area. The suspects got out of the car and started to run away on foot.

Police caught all three suspects and took them into custody.
