Patrol deputies spotted a stolen green Chevy Tahoe at 1:56 a.m. in a restaurant parking lot at Garfield Street South and Pacific Avenue South. The driver in the Chevy backed out of the parking lot when deputies turned around to contact him, according to the Sheriff’s Department on Facebook .
Deputies turned on their lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver did not stop. A pursuit began after the Chevy turned west onto 122nd Street South and accelerated, the post said.
