Git N Go clerk has jaw broken during robbery

DES MOINES, Iowa — Police are investigating after a convenience store clerk was assaulted during a robbery early Friday morning on Des Moines’ east side.

It happened around 6:00 a.m. at the Git N Go at 4164 Easton Blvd. according to Des Moines Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Paul Parizek. Two male suspects assaulted the store’s clerk, an adult woman. She suffered a broken jaw in the assault, Sgt. Parizek said.

The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No arrests have been made in connection with the robbery. Detectives are continuing to investigate.
