Good morning and good news for now — Santa Ana winds will die down, and the red flag warning will be lifted. But, we are not out of the woods yet.
Warmer today
Temperatures will spike up a few degrees today for inland areas, making it the warmest day of the week.
Coastal areas will stay pretty cool — highs around 69 to 72 degrees for beaches, up to to 73 degrees for downtown L.A. and Irvine.
Valley temperatures will be in the upper 70s, with the warmest areas reaching up to 80 degrees for the San Fernando Valley. We’re looking at an average of 75 degrees for the Inland Empire.
In the high desert, the highs will reach up to 66 degrees.
Tonight’s lows will drop to the 40s again. A freeze warning has been issued for Antelope Valley until 9 a.m., where sub-freezing temperatures as low as 26 degrees are expected in the early morning.

Red flag warnings are expected to lift off today for L.A and Ventura counties at 11 a.m. But forecasters say we are not out of the woods yet.
