U.S. Postal Service searching for armed robbery suspects in Denver, Aurora

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest of suspects in connection with a string of armed robberies across Denver and Aurora.

In a press release, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service noted four separate robbery incidents involving a USPS postal carrier in Denver and Aurora between the end of September and end of October.

The first armed robbery occurred on Sept. 25 around 1 p.m. near 1624 Chester St. in Aurora. A suspect — described as a Black man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt — allegedly robbed a carrier with a firearm and then fled in a blue sedan driven by another Black man.

The second occurred on Sept. 30 around 3 p.m. near 800 N. Cherry St. in Denver. A Black man thought to be in his 20s, 5-feet, 7 inches with a tattoo on his left eye robbed a carrier and fled the scene in a black SUV.

The third happened on Oct. 30 around 5:30 p.m. near 653 S. Emerson St. in Denver. A Black man wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and a face mask allegedly robbed a carrier with a firearm before fleeing on foot. A blue sedan was seen in the area prior to the robbery.
