Suspects in deadly crash connected to 2 other crimes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The three suspects who crashed in Hickory Hill while fleeing police in a stolen car, killing the suspects and injuring several others, had allegedly been on a crime spree Thursday night.

Police reports show the black Chrysler 300 involved in that crash had been at a business in the airport area, where Memphis police say three men in all black and ski masks broke into at least six cars there, stealing four guns.

Ten minutes later, the same car was at a business in southeast Memphis, where three suspects broke into several cars.

One suspect pointed a gun at a man who came outside when he heard a car alarm go off. “Shut yo ***** *** up,” they told him, according to the police report.

That’s when MPD says they spotted the car and the driver took off, before crashing at the Knight Arnold Road and Hickory Hill Road intersection, about five miles away.

Multiple cars were hit. Three suspects inside the Chrysler are dead and five people were hurt, including an MPD officer.
