DENVER ( KDVR ) — The Denver Christkindlmarket , a German-style holiday market, has become a beloved tradition for many in the Mile High City, and it’s back with new features for 2024.
Designed by the German American Chamber of Commerce – Colorado Chapter, the Christkindlmarket turns Denver’s Civic Center Park into a European village square with over 40 local and European craft and food vendors, along with live music, dancing and other entertainment.
Denver ranked among the best winter holiday destinations in US
The event earned the 2024 Downtown Denver Award, recognizing its “significant contribution of the Holidays in the Civic Center to downtown Denver’s diversity, vibrancy, and uniqueness,” according to a release from the Colorado Chapter.
Features and new attractions
A popular feature of the annual event is the Glühwein, which is a spiced mulled wine that people sip while strolling through the marketplace.
Vendors sell things like treats made from authentic European recipes, handmade artisan gifts, beer and more.
