West Virginia still has some work to do.
It got past a two-game losing streak with a win over Arizona, and now it needs to win two of its last four games to become bowl eligible. This is the last road game for a few weeks, hosting Baylor and UCF before finishing up at Texas Tech.
Cincinnati is having a nice season, but it’s coming off a loss to Colorado two weeks ago. It needs one more win to become bowl eligible, but there’s a problem – at Iowa State, at Kansas State. That’s next before closing out against Kansas State.

Why West Virginia Will Win
The Mountaineers need to get the ground game going.
It’s been a relatively basic formula for the Mountaineers so far. When they run well and don’t turn the ball over, they win. They’re 3-0 when cranking out at least 200 yards on the ground, and that eases things up for everything else. When they grind, they don’t force the passing game, and the turnovers aren’t there.
