Dorothy Allison, writer, activist born in Upstate, dies at age 75

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Frances Goldin Literary Agency announced that Dorothy Allison, a prolific writer and activist born in the Upstate, died at age 75. Allison was born in Greenville before later working in Washington D.C., New York City, Chicago, etc. as an editor of feminist journals and other publications, an activist in the Women’s Movement, a novelist and a fiction writing professor.
