In an effort to reduce vehicle theft and crack down on offenders preying on the community, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) recently conducted a two-day covert operation, leading to several arrests, including multiple teenagers.
The operation, carried out by HCSO’s Targeted Crime Unit, Auto Theft Unit, and Street Crimes Unit, resulted in the arrests of 11 individuals.
Notably, two teens were arrested while driving a stolen vehicle on November 6, 2024. With the assistance of the Aviation and K-9 Sections, detectives apprehended the driver, 16-year-old Deara McFadden, who is facing charges of Grand Theft Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification of Another. The front passenger, 16-year-old Charquez Denson, was found in possession of a stolen firearm and has been charged with Grand Theft Motor Vehicle, Carrying a Concealed Firearm, and Minor in Possession of a Firearm.
