HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Huntsville Police now confirm that a shooting at a popular restaurant did involve an off-duty officer. According to Huntsville Police Chief Kirk Giles, the 911 call went out just after 9:45 p.m. Saturday. Giles says two groups got into an argument when someone opened fire. “During the altercation, some shots were exchanged” Giles said. “There was an officer working off-duty, and this was an officer-involved shooting as well.”
