SONIC Drive-In donates a portion of proceeds from every drink purchase to support local public schools through the brand’s Limeades for Learning initiative.
This fall, SONIC went all-in on reading for National Book Month, making it easier for students to access books. This October, the SONIC Foundation provided $1.25 million to match donations to classroom projects requesting books through DonorsChoose, a website that allows people to donate directly to classroom requests submitted by teachers.
In Glendale the funding supported the following eight teachers, who received a combined donation of $2,463.
• Ms. Prugar at Barcelona Elementary School for the project “STEAM Class Early Finishers Center.”
• Ms. Corkin at Carol G Peck Elementary School for the project “Inspiring Stories: A Journey of Growth and Discovery.”
• Mrs. Gonzalez at Desert Heights Charter School for the project “Title 1 Lending Library for Disadvantaged Students.”
• Ms. Warren at Mirage Elementary School for the project “Book Besties and Newbies.”
