The Buffalo Bills celebrated a fifth-straight win over the Colts on Sunday, holding yet another opponent to 20 points or less.
Bobby Babich’s defense has been instrumental in leading Buffalo’s charge to an 8-2 record, their best start to a season since 1995.
Several key players have helped the Bills rank Top 5 in turnovers this season, including cornerback Taron Johnson, who made history of his own during Sunday’s 30-20 win when he became the first Bills player to record a pick-six and a sack in the same game.
Talking after the game, fellow defensive teammate Terrel Bernard had high praise for Buffalo’s former fourth-round pick.
“He’s super important, he does everything,” Johnson told reporters.
“He can cover the best guys in the slot and take the ball away. Whether it’s a pick, he had a sack today too, his ability to do everything at the nickel position gives us an edge over pretty much everybody.”
Johnson’s interception came in emphatic fashion when he picked off Joe Flacco early in the first quarter, taking it to the house for the Bills’ first score.
