TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – First responders found a person dead in an apartment fire in Hicksville Saturday night. Authorities responded to a fire call in the apartments above the Subway restaurant in the 100 block of W. High Street in Hicksville, located in Defiance County, just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday. A news release from the Hicksville Police Chief, Mark Denning, said crews found heavy smoke and flames.
