APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The American Legion hosted a successful Veteran’s Day meat raffle and party on Saturday, November 9 at Club 38 Bar and Grill.
The event kicked off with live music from local musicians. The raffle prizes included a variety of meat from Jacobs Meat Market in Appleton and all proceeds went to benefit the Appleton American Legion Post 38.
“Especially since it’s Veteran’s Day, obviously Veteran’s Day is very important to us here at the Legion but we want to make sure it should be important to everyone as well, to honor all the Veterans that we lost,” said American Legion Post 38 Commander Jan Hoffman. “I also want to let everyone know that the American Legion here in Appleton is open to the public.”
The American Legion also noted that none of this would have been possible without the support of its volunteers and donations.
