SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The National Weather Service (NWS) San Francisco is forecasting a cooler and wetter pattern for the Bay Area and Central Coast, with rain chances increasing by Veterans Day and continuing through the week.
A weakening trough, currently about 200-300 miles west of the region, is expected to bring cooler temperatures and a chance for rain. Currently, the air remains unusually dry, with limited moisture levels and no significant sea breeze to bring in additional humidity. The lack of moisture has kept the air clear and dry, but incoming Pacific moisture could change this, bringing patches of clouds and a chance for rain by Monday.
Today’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies with highs ranging from the mid-60s to mid-70s, providing one more mild day before wetter weather arrives.
