“I never in a million years (thought) that I’ll be losing my son to something like this. He was such a good boy, I kept him away from the streets,” Pacheco’s mother told FOX31.

Family, friends and others in the community gathered at a vigil on Sunday to pay respects to the couple.

“I just miss him a lot you know. I can’t believe he died like this, he didn’t deserve this,” Pacheco’s twin brother, Juan, said.

Quintana was described as a devoted mother and a loving, outgoing and free-spirited sister and friend. Having graduated from high school, she was building a career in the beauty industry.
