HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — A man accused of stabbing a METRO bus driver is in jail on half a million dollars bond. According to court documents, Marcus Mitchell was riding the bus on Highway 249 on Friday when he stabbed the driver several times.

METRO told authorities that the driver suffered cuts to her hand, head, and shoulder but is expected to be okay. The suspect then ran from the scene but was quickly arrested.
