Police say a 43-year-old an was shot Saturday inside of Rag City Customs, located near Delwood Drive and Westside Drive.
“He was found by someone who had come to this location. When our officers arrived, he was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said Major Brad Cowden from the Del City Police Department.
Del City Police have not released the victims name, but friends tell News 4, they knew him as Tony Ganther.
A close friend of Ganther’s, Marlon Thomas, tells News 4, Ganther was a prominent member of the lowriding car community.
Thomas sent News 4 a statement about Tony Ganther:
Tony was the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back, he was very active in the lowrider community here in Oklahoma. He would go state-to-state representing for the Oklahoma car culture. He would come out to all the community events for the kids to let them check out the lowrider’s and take pics and even let them ride in the cars. He also gave a lot of advice to people who were trying to build a lowrider or paint one. All around great guy. His time was cut short but he made a great impact on the people and the culture not just here in Oklahoma but state-to state.
