Police investigate 3rd Git N Go robbery in 7 days

DES MOINES, Iowa — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a southeast Des Moines convenience store early Monday morning.

Sgt. Paul Parizek, the spokesperson for the Des Moines Police Department, said it happened at the Git N Go at 2140 E. Park Avenue at 6:55 a.m. The suspect displayed a knife and stole cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash from the store.

The suspect, an adult male, fled from the store on foot.

No injuries were reported, and Sgt. Parizek said no arrests have been made. The investigation into the robbery continues.

This is the third Git N Go robbery reported in Des Moines over the last seven days. On Nov. 4th the Git N Go at 1240 Keo Way was robbed and on Nov. 8th the 4164 Easton Blvd. location was robbed and the clerk suffered a broken jaw during the assault .
