The Tavern Grill , an upscale casual Minnesota-based restaurant and bar known for its fully customizable menu, will host its grand opening Wednesday in Sioux Falls.
The eatery is at the Beakon Centre at 4801 S. Louise Ave. and is the first Tavern Grill in South Dakota. The menu features build-your-own burgers, salad and pizza options and chef-built creations like pasta, seafood, steak and sandwiches.
Originally, the restaurant was supposed to open last fall, according to previous Argus Leader reporting , but was delayed due to the pandemic, equipment arrival and “some transitions within the company,” according to Lloyd Companies Broker Associate Scott Blount, who leased the space and co-owner Kent Cutler of Cutler Law Firm, LLP .
Since the space was purchased, approximately $1 million worth of improvements have been completed in its 9,400 square feet, Cutler said.
“It’s the same footprint as Spezia, so there will be a lot of room for parties and those types of things,” Cutler said. “I think it’d be great energy to the Beakon Centre.”
