BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man who climbed onto a traffic signal and refused to come down in Oildale prompted a response from emergency crews on Sunday.
Crews were called to Airport Drive and Norris Road just after 5 a.m. A man somehow climbed atop a light and traffic signal post and refused to come down.
An airbag was placed under the light post in case the man jumped. Eventually the man climbed further down the post over the intersection at Airport and Norris. Deputies used non-lethal force to knock the man down who landed onto the airbag.
No injuries were reported.
