ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – As a free, public event , the National Park Service is celebrating Indigenous Families Weekend at the Petroglyph National Monument Visitor Information Center.
Officials have shared their plans for visitors for November 16 and 17 as a part of their effort to celebrate Indigenous families.

– Four-mile trail run (November 16)
– Opening ceremony with Indigenous artisans (November 16)
– Informational tables (Both days)
– Children’s activities (Both days)
– Food truck (Both days)
– Local author story time (November 17)
– Guided hike at the Piedras Marcadas Trailhead (November 17)
Alongside the NPS, Ancestral Lands Conservation Corps, Native Health Initiative, National Park Foundation, and Western National Park Association are supporting the event.
