Young Dallas residents invited to Police Explorer Program for public safety training and mentorship

Dallas, Texas – Are you between the ages of 14 and 21 and interested in law enforcement? Young people have a wonderful opportunity through the Dallas Police Explorer Program to learn about leadership, get practical public safety experience, and lay the groundwork for a future in service. Run in partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, the Dallas Police Explorer Program welcomes young men and women and offers them an in-depth viewpoint on what it takes to guard and serve the Dallas community.

Law Enforcement Exploring is meant to expose young people to the ideals, knowledge, and duties of law enforcement thereby arming them not only for possible employment in law enforcement but also for good roles in any community. The initiative centers on developing character, improving leadership qualities, and encouraging respect of community service. Known as Explorers, participants actively participate in a variety of police-related events and get mentoring from experienced officials, thus improving their confidence and practical skills.
