Paycom raises more than $137K during Burpees for Vets week

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – Paycom participated in Burpees for Vets week, some employees completing thousands of burpees to raise money for veterans.

According to Paycom, Burpees for Vets is a national fitness challenge that raises money for veterans transitioning out of military service. For every burpee completed, Paycom donated money to the Mark Divine Courage Foundation.

“And the more burpees we do, the more Paycom donates to the Courage Foundation, which helps veterans with several issues, including homelessness, PTSD, different types of mental health challenges,” said Paul Johnson.

Johnson, an Army Veteran and Paycom employee, completed nearly 6000 burpees over the course of a week, almost doubling the amount he did last year.

“I’m very proud to work at a place like Paycom.” Johnson said.

According to Sidney Ellington, a Strategic Advisor to the Board of Directors for the Mark Divine Courage Foundation, Paycom is one of the biggest contributors to the Burpees for Vets campaign.
