MILTON, Fla. ( WKRG ) – While the weather forced officials to cancel Santa Rosa County’s Veterans Day parade and move their ceremony indoors, the community was still able to come together to honor our veterans.

People gathered at the Clyde L Gracey Community Center Monday, for the annual Veterans Day Ceremony.
“We came to honor the veterans within the community and to honor the veterans around the world,” Craig Kohlman, commander of AMVETS Post 1292 said.
Commander Stephanie Biehl served as the Keynote speaker of the ceremony.
“It was really nice to see the majority of the crowd were veterans, or family members of veterans, and we had some active duty members as well so it was very special to get together as a community and honor those who serve or have served.” Commander Stephanie Biehl, U.S. Navy, NAS Whiting Field said.
For many, the ceremony was a time to reflect on their sacrifices or the sacrifices of their loved ones.
