SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane Valley woman was arrested on Sunday when deputies found drugs in her possession, according to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
On November 10, deputies were sent to investigate a suspicious red Ford Focus parked north of the Pines Road exit on the I-90 exit.
When they arrived, 48-year-old Martha A. White was inside the vehicle.
Deputies said they noticed a glass pipe commonly used for drugs in the car’s passenger door.
Deputies asked White to exit the vehicle and walk towards the patrol car.
According to SCSO, while walking towards the patrol car, White tossed a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine on the ground.
Deputies said White initially denied knowing about the baggie and even claimed the pants she was wearing didn’t belong to her.
After being read her rights, White admitted to finding the baggie and tossing it to prevent a child from touching it. She also acknowledged using meth a few days earlier, despite initially denying recent use.
White was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and taken to Spokane County Jail.
