It’s a bar! It’s a house! It’s Bar House!

Bar House has officially opened just north of downtown, turning a historic home into a three-level nightlife spot. Not far from the VFW bend on the San Antonio River, the historic home located at 820 Alamo Street was built as a private residence in 1930.

The bar has maintained some of the house’s historic features in its extensive renovations, from the siding to its double doors, the

However, the business has also changed the property significantly, adding multicolor paneling and chandeliers and opening up the floor plan. Those who are curious can
