UPDATE 11/11/2024 10:11 p.m.: The Muscogee County Coroner has identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on Macon Road and Reese Road.
According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, the motorcyclist was Edith Opry. Bryan says Opry was struck from behind by an SUV while stopped at a red light.
Bryan says Opry was transported to the Piedmont Columbus Regional emergency room where she succumbed to her injuries.
Bryan says charges against the driver of the SUV are pending.
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Monday, according to the Columbus Police Department.
Police say the crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. on Reese and Macon Road. It involved a motorcycle and an SUV.
The motor squad has been called to the scene.
