Update (11/11, 5:50 p.m.) NV Energy is reporting a power outage affecting more than 2,200 people in north Reno. On the NV Energy website, the outage is located off North McCarran Boulevard north of the University of Nevada, Reno. The cause of the fire is listed as pole-mounted equipment failure.
